Points

A point in Gaelic football is when the foot is struck, typically by the foot and the ball travels over the top of the goal crossbar and between the vertical uprights. A point is worth exactly what it say its worth, 1 single point!

Point taking Drills

To practice points is simple. A bag of footballs and take a position, and kick ten footballs over the bar. Move 15 paces in a semi circle around the posts and repeat. Do this until you reach the other side then change your foot to practice your weak foot. Repeat. Once finished, begin taking points by back stepping ten feet and run to the mark and kick. Repeat the exercises and include running!
